As our recently rebranded Silk Music imprint rolls into 2016, we're thrilled to continue to feature the work of so many veteran label contributors. On this release -- to be more specific -- we're once again treated to the emotive, melodic, and inspired work of LTN and Stendahl, who have provided two brand new remixes of Barzek & Jethimself's "Holiday" (featuring Victoria Ray).
Kicking off the release, we're met with a euphoric trance & progressive interpretation from the exceedingly versatile LTN, whose many contributions to our imprint last year were amongst the highlights of our catalogue. A peak-hour groove unites with Victoria Ray's soulful opening verse. As the song continues to crescendo, we are met with celestial arpeggios and, ultimately, an ecstatic chord progression, soaring alongside Ray's triumphant refrain.
Stendahl has been a thrilling addition to our label roster in recent years for a variety of reasons; above all, he possesses a profound understanding of the history of melodic progressive house music and builds upon past influences, in crafting a modern take on the genre. His new remix of "Holiday" offers a stripped-down melodic arrangement, as well as a unique and forward-thinking groove. In essence, he has pared down the arrangement of the original track into a hopeful and profoundly cathartic listening experience, which proves truly timeless.
